Mining labour crunch: Are foreign workers the solution?

Canada’s mining industry could be on the verge of a critical shortage of skilled labour. Some estimates predict a shortfall of 100,000 workers over the next 10 years as older miners retire and new mines begin production. In B.C., the shortfall could be as many as 10,000 workers.
