How the Dow Jones industrial average and other major stock indexes fared on Friday
Washington Post The Dow Jones industrial average fell 136.99 points, or 1.2 percent, to close at 12849.59. The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 17.31 points, or 1.3 percent, to 1370.26. The Nasdaq composite fell 44.22 points, or 1.5 percent, to 3011.33.
