How the Dow Jones industrial average and other major stock indexes fared on Friday
Washington Post The Dow Jones industrial average rose 93.24 points, or 0.8 percent, to close at 12554.20. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 10.67 points, or 0.8 percent, to 1325.66.
