Wall Street rose yesterday as the Dow extended its recent winning streak to 10 days in a row and the broader S&P 500 closed in on its all-time high after data showed the labour market recovery was gaining traction.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 was roughly 5 points away from its closing peak of 1,565.15 when reports last came in.
